The PET measurement is so far best descibed in presentation on BARB meeting, March 16th 2021, given by Peter Dendooven.
This measurement has been performed by the biophysics colleagues using Water Column. The Water Column is a device of variable thickness, in front and behind of which two Ionisation Chambers (ICs) are placed. The beam is being implanted into the water, where the relative ionization in dependence of range is measured. As a result, the position of the Bragg Peak is known rather precisely (error < 1 mm).
The picture of the setup and depth-dose profiles measured with 10,11,12C beams can be found here, the slides have been kindly provided by Uli Weber.
